Climate Day in Kazakhstan
On 21st January a Climate Day was implemented in Almaty. Students, teachers and HSBC volunteers with support from EcoObraz participated. Students and volunteers carried out fun science experiments in order to learn about and discuss different aspects of energy and Climate Change. For example, comparison of traditional and energy-saving lamps, "the dragon's breath" experiment (showing how biogas works), demonstration of thermal energy produced by the human body and small windmill making.
Students and volunteers also discussed what they can do at school and home to save energy and how they can achieve it.
