Recognising the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), established in 1981, is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation comprising national member organisations which are likewise not-for-profit and non-governmental, and active in promoting, developing and managing programmes for environmental and sustainability education, management and certification.
FEE promotes Environmental Education as a way to spread awareness and enhance knowledge. FEE believes that EE must be action oriented, with observable and measurable results. The FEE approach is always voluntary, positive and constructive.
