Schools must belong to the Eco-Schools Programme network and be from one of the countries participating in the project.
Schools should register on the HSBC Eco-Schools Climate Initiative website. The registration will be then validated by the National Operator.
Schools must implement the seven steps methodology in the climate change field. Schools are free to choose different themes related to the main subject of this project to work with, these include: waste, water, energy, transport, biodiversity, food, etc.
The teachers and the HSBC volunteers must participate in the project training event.
Schools should share their work with all the project participants.
Schools must specify their work in the map of activities and databases available on the website.
HSBC volunteers and schools will work together.
All the project applicants will have the possibility of participating in the HSBC Eco-Code Competition, with the winners progressing to the international competition.
